Top seeded Ritwik Bhattacharya of India won his third Professional Squash Association title when he overpowered Swedish qualifier Bader Abdel Aziz in the final of the seventh Esportiu Rocafort Barcelona Squash Open on Sunday.
A former Indian national champion, Ritwik outplayed Aziz and won 11-10(2/0), 11-2, 11-2 in 28 minutes.
According to information from JCT Mills, Bhattacharya's sponsor, Aziz put up a good fight in the first game, holding game balls at 10-7, but frittered away the advantage.
It was Bhattacharya all the way thereafter as he strolled through to take the next two games and the title.
Bhattacharya, who is also sponsored by Asahi India Glass, recently finished runner-up at the World Doubles Championship in Chennai and is the only Indian to win a PSA title so far.
He will now participate in the Rochester Pro Am PSA World Ranking event, where he is seeded second behind Australian Mike Corren.
