Juventus striker David Trezeguet will miss next week's Champions League clash with Real Madrid after being sidelined by flu, the Italian Serie A club said on Sunday.
The French international, who missed Saturday's 0-0 draw with Messina, was left out of Juventus's 20-man squad for the match.
In his absence, Alessandro Del Piero is expected to come in alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic in attack.
Better news for Juventus supporters, however, was the inclusion of former European Footballer of the Year Pavel Nedved, who has not played a competitive match since injuring his knee in a Serie A game against Brescia on January 23.
Earlier in the week, Juve coach Fabio Capello said he hoped Nedved would be fit to play a part, if not the full 90 minutes, in Tuesday's match against Real.
