Mahesh Bhupathi and Martin Damm of Czech Republic gave a tough fight to top seeds Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan before faltering in the semi-final of the Legg Mason tennis tournament in Washington.
Third seeds Bhupathi and Damm lost 6-7 (3/7), 6-7 (4/7), against the Bryan brothers of the US.
Meanwhile, Sania Mirza has got a direct entry into the main draw of JP Morgan WTA Tier-II event starting in Los Angeles on Monday.
Sania is expected to break in the top 50 of the WTA Tour rankings after she reached the third round of the Acura Classic tournament at San Diego last week.
