U.S. sets 4x100 metre medley relay world record

The United States set a short course world record of three minutes, 25.09 seconds in the men's 4x100 metre individual medley relay at the world championships on Monday.

The team of Aaron Peirsol, Brendan Hansen, Ian Crocker and Jason Lezak shattered the old mark of 3:25.38

set by the University of Texas at the U.S. collegiate championships in New York earlier this year.
