The Indian presence at the prestigious Champions Trophy hockey tournament, to be played at Amstelveen in Holland from August 16, will be more than just the team vying for honours and hoping to qualify for the 2004 Athens Olympics.
On the technical side, Indian Hockey Federation secretary K Jyothikumaran has been appointed as one of the four judges.
Besides, India's international umpire Virender Bahadur Singh will be officiating in the matches.
Meanwhile, Jyothikumaran said the fortnight-long training camp for the team will continue in Lucknow till the team departs for Holland.
"There was some apprehension about the weather but things have settled down now," he said, adding there are no plans to shift the camp out of Lucknow.
He said captain Dhanraj Pillay and goalkeeper Devesh Chauhan resumed training on Monday after recovering from mild fever.
Team sponsors 'Sahara' have provided excellent training facilities and accommodation, he added.
