Kolkata giants Mohammedan Sporting and Mumbai's Air India start as favourites to enter next year's National Football League as the final round of the Second Division league gets underway in Delhi from Wednesday.
Challenging the two are Goa's Hayward Sporting and the champion team from Kerala, State Bank of Travancore.
The four-team round-robin league will end on April 29 with the top two sides replacing Bangalore sides ITI and HASC in next year's NFL.
Briefing reporters on Monday, Delhi Soccer Association secretary N K Bhatia said the start late evening in view of the summer tempreatures, already spiralling past the 40 degree celsius mark.
"There will be one match every day. And on the final day there will be two games which will start simultaneously to avoid match-fixing," Bhatia said.
April 25 has been marked as the rest day.
All the matches will be held at the Ambedkar stadium, while the second match on the last day will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
