In a tribute to thousands of tsunami victims, maestro Zubin Mehta will conduct a special memorial concert by the Bavarian State Orchestra to coincide with the first anniversary of the catastrophe.
The special concert will be held on December 26 at the prestigious Music Academy in Chennai, as part of its annual conference and concerts, which commenced Saturday.
Announcing this at the inaugural function, Music Academy president N Murali said the memorial concert would be the highlight of this year's music season, which attracts music aficionados and music lovers from across the globe.
