Jagan, who is not allowed to leave Hyderabad, will seek permission to relax this condition as his party is keen to have him take part in the unified Andhra Pradesh protest. Jagan’s team will seek the permission of the court to at least allow him to tour the state.
So far, the protests being staged in favour of a unified state were all led by his mother, Vijayamma. But the party had not got the desired response. Vijayamma had managed to draw crowds only at the start of the campaign, but then they realised the crowd had come more out of curiosity.
With Jagan's release the party hopes to regain its position.
For the moment Jagan will stay in Hyderabad and run the party affairs. Once the conditions are relaxed he would visit Seema-Andhra and participate in the unified AP protests.
Ambatti Rambabu spokesperson for the party has said that they are thrilled with the news of Jagan’s release. “What Jagan is planning, I cannot say now. Let him come out and then we will all have a discussion at our party office in Hyderabad,” he said.
