Former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has taken exception to the comments made by senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani in a recent blog post.
Speaking to party colleagues at the BJP party office in Bengaluru on Tuesday, Yeddyurappa said that Advani's views on Karnataka were misplaced.
Advani had said that the corruption in Karnataka had tainted the party's image, as a result of which the BJP's prospect at the
national level was dwindling.
Yeddyurappa said that Advani's statement that there would not be a BJP prime minister after the next general election is also a wrong view to take.
He said that such statements would ruin the prospects of the BJP in the next elections.
Yeddyurappa said he would meet Advani personally in a few days and clarify the position in Karnataka to him so that such statements are not made in future.
