Clashes broke out in Srinagar on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, evening after a Delhi court awarded life imprisonment to Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik in a terror funding case.
Earlier, the National Investigation Agency sought death penalty for Malik.
Malik had pleaded guilty to all charges, including those under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, in a terror funding case.
A shutdown was observed in parts of Srinagar on Wednesday ahead of the court's verdict.
