Zoologist shares bath with crocodile

An Australian zoologist has been showing off his relationship with his animals -- by sharing his bath with a crocodile.

Chris Humfrey says four-year-old saltwater croc Snappy Tom loves nothing better than a nice warm soak.

And the pair are often joined by Casper, a huge black-headed python, making it three in a bath.

Humfrey, who cares for over 2,000 other animals at his Wild Action Zoo in Macedon, Australia, says he has no fears about getting up close and personal with his animals.

Man shoves objects in beard, calls it art

Pierce Thiot and his wife Stacy Thiot have a strange hobby: they take a silly object, see if it can be lodged in his beard, then photograph the results. From Slinkys to spaghetti, here are some of their experiments from Will It Beard.

Boston cyclists dig 13-metre tunnel to keep bike path open for commuting  Ari Goldberger temporarily solved a commuting nightmare by living out a child's snow-day dream. Goldberger, a 29-year-old guitar technician in the Boston area, was bicycling from work on the night of February 11 when he noticed that the bike path ahead was blocked by what he later described as a "15-foot mountain of snow," presumably the result of ploughs piling up the city's ceaseless snowfall.

After carrying his bike over the giant mound, Goldberger posted a photo to his Facebook page, and asked for leads on public transportation contacts that he could call to deal with the issue. Instead, Goldberger received a suggestion from his former coworker that he couldn't turn down: "Get some friends together and tunnel through it," Shadron Davis, the friend, wrote in a comment. "Bonus: natural beer chiller while we work."

In whitewashed Boston, man sells bottled snow

His slogan is: “Our nightmare is your dream!” People can order either a 16.9oz (480g) snow-filled bottle for $19.99 or a 6lb (2.7kg) box for 89 Dollars, which is enough for about 10 to 15 snowballs. An Australian ice-cream parlour has for the very first time created "glow-in-the-dark" ice creams, that'll you have no problem eating even if there's a blackout.

Inspired by co-owner Steve Felice's raver past, the offering of the Melbourne-based pop-up 196 Below is frozen using liquid nitrogen, made luminescent with UV-reactive food dye and comes in three flavours: raspberry, pine-lime and mango passion fruit, Stuff.co.nz reported.

On top of that, the Neon Nitro Ice Creams are dairy free, preservative free vegan, and the dish is perfectly safe for all to eat, with the unique colouring certified by Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration.

Where to run to if a zombie outbreak happens...

A new research has recommended that in case of a zombie outbreak, people should head to the northern Rockies.

Cornell University researchers, who have modeled the statistical mechanics of zombies, used a number of techniques that are used when modeling real diseases, and the abstract ends with this dismal line "we build up to a full scale simulation of an outbreak in the United States, and discover that for realistic parameters, we are largely doomed."

But Phys.Org relays a glimmer of hope by way of Alex Alemi, a grad student involved in the research, who says those who want to remain safe from the undead for as long as they can, should head to the northern Rockies.

He explains that while books and movies typically show an outbreak touching all corners of the country immediately, in their attempt to model zombies somewhat realistically, it doesn't seem like this is how it would actually go down.
