A couple of days after a war of words between Team Anna and ruling Janata Dal-United in Bihar over Lokayukta, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday said he did not want to waste his energy on unnecessary debate.
"I don't want to engage and waste my energy on unnecessary debate on the Lokayukta... whatever I have to say I have already said that we want an effective and strong Lokayukta," Kumar told mediapersons in Patna.
"I am not playing Antakashari (a word game) on the issue of Lokayukta.. our intentions are clear and we are bringing the bill with full accountability," he said.
When his attention was drawn to the reported statement of Anna Hazare that CBI be brought within the ambit of Lokpal, Kumar said, "I have nothing to say on the issue being raised at the national level."
Kumar, however, said he would make it clear that the state government had decided to set up a special investigation wing within the ambit of Lokayukta in the state.
