Bhartiya Janata Party's firebrand leader Vinay Katiyar has "threatened to expose Justice Liberhan's intent" behind party leaders Atal Behari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani for their alleged involvement in the Babri Masjid demolition.

"Just wait for a while and see what I reveal about Justice Liberhan as soon as his report is tabled in Parliament," Katlyar told rediff.com on Monday.

The former MP from Faizabad also threatened to expose what he calls the "dubious" role of then prime minister Narasimha Rao and his cabinet colleague Arjun Singh.

Blaming the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government for a "systematic leakage" of the report, he said, "I see no other reason for the sudden leak of the report other than an intent to divert the attention of the masses from key issues facing the nation like terrorism, naxalism, threat by Pakistan and China and above all the unprecedented price rise."

Warning that the Centre's move may prove counter-productive, Katiyar said, "The prevailing state of affairs across the country speaks about the Centre's failure on all vital fronts. To avoid a debate on those issues in Parliament, the government had engineered the leakage."

"While it was amply evident that the Congress was behind it in the hope of wining Muslims, it has failed to realize that there are others like Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party that would want to take political mileage out of it on the same lines," he said.

"And I have reason to believe that even the BJP will stand to gain out of that as the Congress has stoked the Ayodhya fire again," he added.

He asked, "So what if some top BJP leaders have been indicted by the panel. After all what difference would it make to someone like me who was already facing trial before the CBI court for an alleged hand in the demolition of the dispute structure?"
