WikiLeaks to prove Mossad's role in Hamas murder
December 24, 2010 19:16 IST
Dubai's police chief on Friday said leaked United States diplomatic cables to be released soon will prove his claim that the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad was involved in the murder of Hamas commander Mahmoud Al Mabhouh in Dubai almost a year ago.

"The documents will surely prove to those who doubted us," Lieutenant General Dahi said.

"But I still believe that some people will still deny the fact," Dahi was quoted as saying by the Gulf News. He said WikiLeaks founder has Julian Assange in an interview with Al Jazeera on Wednesday, has vowed to release 3,700 more files related to Israel particularly dealing with the Al Mabhouh killing in Dubai and the second Lebanon war.

Backing WikiLeaks founder, Dahi said, "Julian Assange is a victim and shouldn't be pursued in such a manner. The person responsible for leaking the information in the first place is responsible. Releasing the truth is not a crime."

Mabhuh, a founder of the military wing of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, was found dead in his room at Al-Bustan Rotana hotel here. He was wanted in Israel for the alleged murder of two Israelis.
