It's a day of showdown between the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance government and the opposition Congress party both inside and outside Parliament. While the Congress has decided to hold a protest march led by party president Sonia Gandhi, the government has decided to keep the battle within Parliament.

Leaders of the Congress, including Sonia Gandhi and party vice president Rahul Gandhi, are slated to march to Parliament from Jantar Mantar in a show of strength.

The Congress is protesting the "witch-hunt" by the Narendra Modi government over the Uttarakhand political crisis and AgustaWestland VVIP chopper issues.
