Despite disruptions over central rule in Uttarakhand and fresh revelations on the AugustaWestland chopper deal, the Rajya Sabha passed four bills and Lok Sabha cleared three in the first week of the ongoing session of Parliament, raising hopes of government managers that more legislation can be taken up before the scheduled end of the session.
The Rajya Sabha on Monday witnessed repeated adjournments. All India Trinamool Congress Member Sukhendu Sekhar Roy was expelled from the House for a day by Chairman Hamid Ansari after he raised an uproar on the VVIP chopper deal.
