A VOIP call threatening to carry our serial blasts in Bengaluru if hitman Rashid Malabari was not released was received by a newspaper in Mangalore. A complaint has been regustered in this regard.

Udayavani, a prominent Kannada daily's news office at Mangalore received the VOIP call on Wednesday evening.

The caller has not been identified as yet. The caller sought the immediate release of Malabri failing which serial blasts would
be carried out in Bangalore.

Malabari, a member of the Dawood Ibrahim gang was sent to India to assasinate Varun Gandhi and Pramod Muthalik. He had set up base at Kasargod and had even chalked out as to how the assasination would be carried out. Malabari along with his henchmen were planning on assasinating the two leaders during their election campaign. However based on an IB intercept Malabari and his aides were nabbed earlier this week.
