The Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Thursday appealed to Indians to boycott Chinese goods in view of the 'repeated' incursions by the neighbouring country along the Line of Actual Control.

"We appeal to people to boycott Chinese toys, edibles and electronics and other material in our country as China is daily violating our territory on the ground and in the air in Ladakh and North-East," said VHP president Ramakant Dubey.

"Over $2.5 billion are spent by Indians on Chinese goods and India should boycott them," he said. Dubey said the situation today is 'much worse' than what it was in 1962, before the Indo-China war, and the chances of history being repeated cannot be ruled out.

Referring to the recent statement by Foreign Minister S M Krishna that "we have no danger from China," Dubey said this speaks volumes about our politicians' 'non-seriousness about impending dangers to our country from a hostile neighbour'.
