Veerappan's wife Muthulakshmi said on Wednesday that the government should ensure that the educational needs of her two daughters are fulfilled.
"They (government) need not help me. But my two daughters will have to study," she said at Moolakkadu near Mettur in Tamil Nadu, where body of the outlaw was buried.
"My life is ruined and my children's education is affected," she said, adding that after being in the "control" of special task force for ten years there were no job opportunities available to her.
Muthulakshmi said that either the STF or the government should help educate her two daughters, Vijayarani Yuvarani and Prabha.
The STF, constituted to nab Veerappan, killed the outlaw and three of his associates -- Sethukuli Govindan, Chandra Gowder and Sethumani -- in an encounter near Papparapatti, in a successful operation.
