Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi, who met with an accident in Liberia, will be airlifted to Chennai for further treatment.
Doctors at a private hospital in Cote d'Ivoire where Ravi was being treated after being airlifted from Liberia on Friday last said the minister will be thoroughly checked before being flown to India.
The minister will be flown back to Chennai by a special Indian Air Force flight IFC 34 and later taken to the Madras Medical Mission hospital.
In Abidjan, he received treatment at Pisam hospital after an initial medical attention at John F Kennedy hospital in Monrovia, Liberia from where he was flown to Cote d'Ivoire.
Ravi was touring some African countries when he was injured in a road accident.
