Congressman Joe Wilson (Republican, South Carolina), past co-chairman of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans, said on the floor of the House of Representatives, "In the global war on terrorism, we continue to fight against an enemy that has no respect for the sanctity of human life.
"On Saturday, terrorists detonated three bombs in the busy streets of New Dehli, taking the lives of 62 innocent civilians and wounding over 200 people. By targeting shopping centers and a city bus, terrorists cowardly murdered innocent civilians. Over 60,000 Indians have been killed by terrorists. As these horrendous attacks continue throughout the globe, citizens of all free nations are at risk.
"Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has condemned the blasts and vowed that 'the government is determined to defeat the nefarious designs of terrorist elements. The perpetrators of these heinous acts will be dealt with firmly."
