A 10-year-old girl has alleged that a Central Reserve Police Force jawan molested her on Monday at a village of Dhuriyapar Assembly constituency.
Superintendent of Police S P Upadhaya said that the girl reported the incident to her elders and soon angry residents of Gangwal village staged a protest against the CRPF.
Senior Superintendent of Police S K Bhagat and District Magistrate Rakesh Goel along with other senior officials rushed to the spot and pacified the villagers.
Upadhaya said the girl had initially alleged that a jawan molested her but later on the pressure of villagers she changed her version and alleged rape.
He said two jawans were rounded up as suspects but the real culprit would be identified after identification parade.
The CRPF is being replaced by BSF there and a written complaint from the aggrieved has been taken.
