Expelled Bharatiya Janata Party leader Uma Bharti was Saturday arrested while on way to Aligarh town in Uttar Pradesh where at least six people have died in communal violence over the past three days.
The firebrand former BJP leader has been detained in the police line guest house at Bulandshahar in Uttar Pradesh, according to sources close to her.
She had left for Aligarh after she reportedly received a call from a former legislator who was arrested in the wake of the communal clashes.
