February 05, 2007 17:08 IST

A suspect package exploded in a Victoria office block in central London on Monday injuring a woman.

A 50 metre exclusion zone was set up around the site of a bomb scare this morning by fire services.

The area has been cordoned off, after police were called at 9.40 when a suspect package was found.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: "Fire crews have implemented a 50 metre exclusion zone, and we are standing by and supporting the police.

"One female was treated at the scene for minor injuries before being taken to hospital. We are continuing to stand by at the scene."
