Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray's personal assistant Milind Narvekar has been booked for vandalism of public property during the Pune bandh on Tuesday.

A First Information Report was lodged against Narvekar by the Pune police for inciting the violence following the removal of statue of Dadoji Konddeo from the city's monument 'Lal Mahal'.

Shiv Sena party workers resorted to arson by damaging vehicles particularly public transport buses. Sources in the police said that that Narvekar's phone was tapped and he was heard instructing other Sena leaders how to vandalise and torch public transport during the bandh.

The Pune police have registered a case against Narvekar for conspiracy to disturb the law and order in the state.
