UAE allows up to 6-month stay for visit visa

Visitors to the United Arab Emirates can now stay for a period of 6 months instead of the present duration of 3 months.

The UAE Cabinet ratified a decision on Wednesday allowing visit visas to be issued for a maximum of 6 months.The visit visa fee will be Dh600 for 3 months. It can be renewed for another 3 months by paying an additional fee of Dh1,200.
 
The new rules will come into force next month.

Earlier, a visit visa would cost Dh100 for 2 months which could be renewed for another month at a cost of Dh500. The visitors would then have to leave the country after 90 days of their stay and re-enter after  obtaining a new visa.

Now, those who want to stay for more than 3 months can continuously stay for 6 months at a total visa cost of Dh1,800.
