Two Amarnath pilgrims die, 23 others injured in mishaps

Two Amarnath pilgrims died and 23 people, including 5 pilgrims, were injured in separate mishaps in Jammu region.

Mohal Lal, one of the devotees, was killed and another injured when a rock fell on them at Anokhi waterfall area in Ramban district, police said.

In another incident, a passenger car skid off the road and fell into a gorge in Kud in Udhampur district resulting in the death of pilgrim Roop Chand and injuring 4 others, they said.

13 passengers were injured when a truck collided with a bus on the highway at Gagwal area in Samba district, they said, adding that the driver of the truck was also hospitalised for injuries.

In another head-on collision between two vehicles, four persons were injured in Bhaderwah belt of Doda district.
