A team of the central crime branch police officials arrested C Praveen, chief operating officer of Sun TV Network, from his house.
"We have booked him under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Sexual Harassment of Women Act. He has allegedly been harassing the woman for past two years," a senior central crime branch official said.
The woman, who quit her job five months ago, held a senior position in the programming section of Surya TV, the Malayalam channel of Sun Network.
"Both Praveen and the victim hail from Kerala," the official added.
"The victim had furnished evidence including voice and data recordings of conversations," he said, adding, the probe is on.
The channel is tight-lipped about the development.
Sun TV Network is owned by the Maran brothers -- Kalanidhi and Dayanidhi. Both brothers are being investigated in connection with money laundering allegations linked to the 2G spectrum case.
