Pakistani Foreign Minister Mahmood Qureshi has said that there has been trust deficit between India and Pakistan, and that it has to be bridged at the earliest.

"We have to bridge it through confidence-building measures," he said on Friday.

He said the latest talks between Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart was a positive one.

"The Indian foreign secretary was very positive. The outcome of Singh-Gilani talks is a step in the right direction, a concrete development and we will build on it," he said.
