Terrorists on Thursday lobbed a hand grenade at a bunker of the Central Reserve Police Force in downtown Srinagar.
However, nobody was injured in the blast, according to a senior police officer.
Some private vehicles parked nearby were damaged.
The area around the camp was surrounded by the security forces for searches.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
