An unidentified terrorist was killed on Sunday in an encounter with security forces in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, a defence spokesman said.
Gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces, who had launched a search operation in Bijhama village in Uri tehsil of the district on Sunday morning, the spokesman said.
