The Karnataka police have made some seizures, including hand-grenades, from Hampi in Bellary district based on information given by suspected Pakistan-trained militant Imran alias Bilal.

"Recoveries are being made in Hampi," a senior police official told PTI on Saturday.

The 32-year-old suspected militant was running a handicrafts shop in front of Virupaksha temple at Hampi for the last five years.

He was nabbed by a team of Bangalore police from a city-bound private bus coming from Hospet in Bellary district early on Friday.

Police had seized an AK-47 rifle, 300 rounds of ammunition, four AK-47 magazines, five hand grenades, a satellite phone, SIM cards, a Bangalore city map and a few documents from his bag.

The suspected terrorist has admitted to undergoing terror training in Pakistan, police said. Investigations are on to uncover a possible terror plot.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said on Friday, after a briefing by the top police officials, that by nabbing the suspected terrorist, a plot to target the airport, software companies like Infosys, Wipro and some other places had been foiled.
