Telugu Desam Party members of Legislative Assembly from Telangana would once again submit their resignations even as they decided to legally challenge Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar's rejection of their resignations submitted earlier.
"We will meet the Speaker in person upon his return from London and submit our resignations afresh," TDP Telangana Forum convenor Errabilli Dayakar Rao told mediapersons in Hyderabad on Tuesday evening.
The Speaker had committed a "big mistake in the history" by rejecting their resignations submitted on July 4, demanding creation of Telangana state, Rao alleged.
The Speaker "grossly betrayed" the people of Telangana by rejecting their resignations, he said.
Alleging that All India Congress Committee General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad was taking the Telangana Congress legislators for a ride on the statehood issue, the TDP leader wanted the ruling party MLAs to tender resignations afresh to step up pressure on the Centre.
The TDP Telangana Forum has constituted a four-member internal committee to take care of the legal battle on the resignations issue.
Earlier in the day, the Telangana legislators had a detailed meeting with TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu wherein it was decided to submit the resignations afresh.
