On Wednesday, the deputy chief minister said that the student had sent him a message on Facebook informing him how he was unable to get his post-matric scholarship for the last three years despite running from pillar to post.
“Tejaswi immediately directed the concerned officials to look into the matter and ensure that the student receives his pending scholarship, an official from the deputy chief minister’s office said.
The official added that a day after Tejaswi intervened, the student got his scholarship in his bank account.
The student, who got Rs 9,820 credited in his account, took to Facebook again thanking the deputy CM.
Lalu’s younger son also said that he had received similar complaints on Facebook and was personally looking into each of them. “Lack of money should not hinder the education of poor students,” said the deputy chief minister.
