Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan has showed its solidarity with the militants of Indian Kashmir and has said that the Taliban are struggling for implementing Islamic Shariah not only in Pakistan but also in the region including Kashmir.
Annoyed over the Pakistani interior ministry's recent report presented in the supreme court that called Indian Kashmir as an Indian state, TTP spokesperson Ihsanullah Ihsan said that the report is an insult to the martyrs' blood who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Kashmir.
In a statement sent to rediff.com, Ihsan said that the people who presented the report are actually the promoters of secularism and they are only concerned with their vested interest and don't care for collective and national interest. "A secular group in the interior ministry presented the report that is an insult to the blood of Mujahedeen who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Kashmir. This step has been taken under the influence of some Indian lobbyists," he said.
"We are against the people who are promoting secularism in Pakistan; the relatives of the martyred in Kashmir should not be discouraged with such a move of the interior ministry; we support the struggle of Kashmir liberation and we are with you (fighters). We are making struggle to implement Islamic Shariah all around the region (including Kashmir)."
Earlier this week the interior secretary presented a report before the court in which Kashmiri freedom movement was called an insurgency tantamount to the situation in Balochistan. The report compares the restive situation of Balochistan with the turmoil in Indian states of Punjab, Nagaland, Assam and disputed land of Kashmir. Later the ministry of interior clarified that in para five of a report submitted in the supreme court, the word 'disputed' was omitted due to an oversight.
A statement issued by the ministry, said that Kashmir is disputed territory till such time that right of self-determination and plebiscite is conceded to the Kashmiris to exercise their free will to live according to their wishes.
