Taking note of a sting operation by a TV channel showing some members taking money for purportedly raising questions in Parliament, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat on Monday referred the matter to the Ethics Committee.
"I have decided to send it to the Ethics Committee for necessary action and give its recommendations for due consideration of the House," Shekhawat said.
He said the incident had undermined dignity of the House and members would have to think seriously on how to maintain its dignity.
