The man who alighted from a train at the New Delhi Railway Station was caught by Delhi Police's Special Cell at around 12:40 pm, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar told PTI.
He was carrying an identity card bearing the name Salim as also a Pakistani passport bearing the name Yusuf, Kumar said; adding detonators and explosive chemicals were recovered from him.
Asked if the recovered chemical weighing around two kilogram was RDX, he said, "It looks like."
He said they were trying to ascertain his identity as well as his mission in the national capital. He is the second terrorist to be arrested by Delhi Police this month.
On August 6, the Special Cell had arrested two suspected Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists from Daryaganj area in central Delhi.
Hizb militants Javed Ahmed Tantray and Ashiq Ali Bhatt had met the outfit chief Syed Salahuddin a few months back in terrorist camps in Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir.
Police claimed that Salahuddin had asked them to strike terror in the country ahead of the Independence Day. The arrested men received their arms and religious training in terror training camps in PoK and had met Salahuddin several times.
