A seven-member special investigation team has been constituted by the Haryana police to investigate two fresh FIRs registered against former director general of police SPS Rathore in the Ruchika Girhotra molestation case.
The two complaints were lodged by Ruchika's father Subhash Chander Girhotra and brother Aashu, seeking filing of cases against Rathore and other police officials, for slapping false cases against the boy and for 'doctoring' Ruchika's post-mortem report.
Ruchika had committed suicide a few years after the incident, following the arrest of her brother on false charges and continuous harassment by the police.
Earlier today, Rathore moved an anticipatory bail plea before the sessions court, which did not grant him any immediate relief.
