Shalu was arrested early this month on a complaint by one Rafique Ali who claimed she had accompanied scam accused Biju Radhakrishnan when he collected Rs 20 lakh from him.
The actor submitted she had not received any unlawful amount in connection with the solar deal. Her assests were made out of her dance school, acting and dance programmes. She said she had purchased a car from a private financial agency.
Her bail plea had earlier been rejected by a lower court in Thiruvananthapuram.
Meanwhile, the high court reserved its orders on the anticipatory bail application of A Firoz, suspended Director of the Public Relations Department, also an accused in the solar case pertaining to duping of several people to the tune of crores of rupees on the promise of offering solar panel solutions.
Justice S S Sateeshchandran asked the prosecution why the accused was not arrested when he was undergoing treatment in a hospital after registration of case.
