The Central Bureau of Investigation on Saturday filed its final investigation report before a Delhi Court into a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case allegedly involving former Union Minister Jagdish Tytler.

The investigating agency submitted the report in a sealed envelope before Metropolitan Magistrate Ram Lal Meena.

The court will consider the report on April 2.

During the proceeding, the CBI said that it has completed its investigation and submitted the report before the Court.

The report was filed after the CBI had examined California-based witness Jasbir Singh in the case who was earlier declared non-traceable by it.

Singh had in an affidavit before Nanavati Commission which inquired into the anti-Sikh riots, stated that on November 3, 1984 he had overheard Tytler commenting on the killing of Sikhs in his constituency.

The investigating agency had earlier submitted that it has already examined ten witnesses in the case and the final report in this case will be submitted by March 28.
