The Goa government has banned the entry of Pramod Muthalik, the controversial Shri Ram Sena leader.

Muthalik's entry was banned vide an order passed by the District Magistrate.

Muthalik had expressed his desire to set up base in Goa on the ground that the culture there was becoming extremely westernised. He had said there was a need to change this culture
and hence, would be setting up Shri Ram Sena offices in Goa.

The issue was placed before state Home Minister Ravi Naik by some media persons on Wednesday. Naik assured the media that Muthalik would not be permitted to enter the state.

The minister then instructed the District Magistrate after which an order preventing Muthalik to enter Goa was passed.
