'Sheena was helpful and generous, kind and respectful of her elders,' an employee at the Disneyland High School in Guwahati, where she studied from nursery to Class 10, told Indrani Roy/Rediff.com
Sheena Bora is reportedly the daughter of Indrani Mukerjea and her first husband Siddhartha Das.
Sheena has a younger brother Mikhail. The siblings lived with their grandparents in Guwahati.
Indrani introduced the duo to her husband Peter Mukherjea as her siblings and not her children.
"How can someone do such a horrific thing to Sheena?" a non-teaching senior staff at the Disneyland High School in Guwahati told Rediff.com over the telephone on Friday, August 28.
This is the school Sheena studied in from nursery to Class 10.
"Sheena was a bright, young girl, always bubbling with energy," the middle-aged woman, who does not wish to be identified, told Rediff.com
"I am a mother too. Apart from my own, we love all those children who come here to study."
"Being a mother herself, how could Indrani (Mukerjea) kill her daughter? It is beyond me."
Though Sheena hardly saw her parents, she never "complained about being lonely," the school employee, who has worked at the school for many years, said.
"We came to know from her classmates that she broke down in class on seeing the wedding photograph of her mother and Peter Mukerjea."
"Sheena was good looking, smart with a penchant for extra-curricular activities."
"She was a darling of her friends and took keen interest in their lives. Sheena was helpful and generous, kind and respectful of her elders."
"It was evident that she came from an affluent family. But she maintained a balanced profile and kept from flaunting her wealth."
"She always came through with flying colours in all examinations."
"If I remember right, she got more than 75 per cent marks in her Class 10 board examination."
"She did not deserve such a pathetic end. We are sad, very, very sad."
