Media, both print and electronic, would be kept away from the high court compound in Lucknow on the day of pronouncement of the verdict on the Ayodhya title suits on September 24 and photocopies of the judgement would be made available at the district collectorate.

On the directions of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court, the district administration, Lucknow, is making arrangements for briefing the media on the verdict on the Ayodhya title suits of the special full bench on September 24 in the collectorate compound, District Magistrate, Anil Kumar Sagar told PTI.

The arrangements for briefing the media at the collectorate compound are being made on the directions of the court, he said.

This step has been taken in order to avoid unnecessary crowding in the court compound on the day.

There is also a proposal to only allow the presence of the counsels and the parties concerned in the court room where the three-judge bench would pronounce the judgement.

Sources in the court said that the Chief Justice of the Allahabad HC, F I Rebello, has issued necessary directives to the Lucknow administration in this regard.
