The son of Senegalese Ambassador to India, Mansoor Ali, allegedly killed his driver, Dilawar, at the Taj Mahal hotel in New Delhi on Saturday night, police sources said.

The sources said the incident took place at around 2230 IST when after attending a party Mansoor went to his car and found the 32-year-old driver allegedly in an inebriated state.

Ali asked for the car keys and told the driver he was not in a condition to drive, the sources said.

A quarrel followed and Ali pushed the driver, whose head hit a hard object and he died, they said.

A case under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) has been registered against Ali, who has not been arrested as he enjoys diplomatic immunity.
