A case of sedition against yoga guru Baba Ramdev has been filed in a local court in Patna on Thursday.
The Patna civil court accepted a complaint seeking registration of a case of sedition against Baba Ramdev and his second-in-command Acharya Balkrishna for making statements challenging the sovereignty of the country and threatening to raise a militia to take on the government.
The complainant Vinay Kumar Singh has prayed that the court summon Baba Ramdev and prosecute him for offenses to harm national interest.
Singh told rediff.com over telephone that he has filed a complaint case of sedition against Baba Ramdev after he threatened to form an armed force if there was a repeat of the police crackdown
