Condoling the death of 65 people killed in the blasts on the Delhi-Attari special train near Panipat, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil on Monday said the incident was aimed at disturbing peace and spoiling India's relationship with other countries.

Visiting the site of the tragedy at Deewana, he said, "Whoever is behind the incident is against peace and wants to spoil our growing relationship with other countries."

Confirming that explosives were used in the incident, Patil, however, said details on the modus operandi of the blasts would be available later.

Home Secretary V K Duggal and senior railway officials accompanied Patil.

Patil said: "Our sympathies are there with the family members of those who lost their lives in the incident. We will find ways to help them out."
