Union Minister of Rural Development Jairam Ramesh on Friday visited Bastar in Chhattisgarh to understand the implementation of rural development schemes in the area.
On the day of assuming office, Jairam Ramesh had said that he would first visit Naxal areas. The minister was accompanied by three senior officials from the rural development ministry.
Jairam Ramesh has also asked for the ministry's website to be redesigned. The website is expected to be made more interactive.
