Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief K S Sudarshan, who has been admitted to a hospital in Nagpur with viral fever, is in a stable condition, official sources said on Friday.
"The doctors attending him have advised rest and complete check up. He is not suffering from any heart problem," his office incharge Shirish Vate told PTI.
Vate added that the condition of the RSS chief is stable.
A private TV channel reportedly said that Sudarshan was suffering the effects of a heart attack, which led to some anxious calls, he said.
Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishenchand Advani were among the callers to inquire about his health.
