RSS chief escapes unhurt in road accident

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat escaped unhurt after his car was hit by his security escort vehicle in Delhi on Wednesday while he was on his way to the airport.

According to sources, Bhagwat's car was hit by his security vehicle due to the impact on it after a car hit the escort car from behind at the Dhaula Kuan red light point around noon.

Bhagwat was on his was to the airport to take a flight to Gorakhpur.

The RSS chief left in his private vehicle to the airport from the accident spot, sources said, adding, no one was hurt in the incident.

RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav later tweeted, "Bhagwatji is perfectly ok and left on his tour."

"Due to d impact of d crash d security vehicle was pushed forward n slowly pushed Bhagwatji's vehicle. Nothing happened to Mohanji," he said in another tweet.

The incident took place a day after BJP leader and Union Minister Gopinath Munde died in a car accident on his way to the airport
