The Ministry of External Affairs has standardised the e-mail addresses of all regional passport offices within the domain name mea.gov.in.
The new e-mail addresses of RPOs, created as part of the ministry's standardised e-mail addresses and management project, follow a simple and predictable formula of rpo.station@mea.gov.in, according to an official press release issued on Thursday.
For example, the e-mail address of RPO Delhi would be rpo.delhi@mea.gov.in.
Only three stations with names containing more than 10 characters have been abbreviated, namely Bhubaneswar, Thiruchirapalli and Vishakhapatnam.
The addresses are rpo.bbsr@mea.gov.in, rpo.trichy@mea.gov.in and rpo.vizag@mea.gov.in, respectively.
